Story #29: “A Seed Planted”

A few years ago, our Prevention Team was invited to a local supporting church to present Worth the Fight, our program that helps parents talk with their children about sexual integrity and raising them according to God’s Word.

At the end of the presentation, one of the women in attendance approached a member of our team. She shared that years earlier, when she was a teenager, she had visited Women’s Pregnancy Center. She didn’t share the details of why she came or what happened afterward. She did share that her visit to Women’s Pregnancy Center was the first time anyone had ever told her about Jesus.

We don’t know what decisions she was facing, what choices she made, or what her journey looked like in the years that followed. But a seed had been planted. She had been introduced to Jesus and His love, and that seed continued to be part of her story. Years later, there she was—sitting in a local church and seeking to learn how to raise her own children according to God’s Word.

For each person God sends our way, we may never know the full impact of a conversation, a Scripture shared, a prayer offered, or a listening ear. We may not see how God continues to work through those moments long after someone walks through our doors. But God sees.

At Women’s Pregnancy Center and throughout Education for Life, we believe every person God sends our way is an opportunity to faithfully serve, speak truth, show compassion, and point people toward abundant life in Jesus.

As we celebrate 45 years of life, we are reminded that the impact of this ministry is not limited to what happens during an appointment, a class, or a presentation. The seeds planted today may continue growing in ways we cannot yet see—and may reach far beyond one person to an entire family and future generations.
