Story #28: “Finding Hope”

Brooke was pregnant with her third child, in an abusive relationship, and overwhelmed by circumstances that felt like too much to carry. She believed abortion was her only way forward, so, she ordered abortion pills online. She held onto them for weeks before taking the first dose.

Almost immediately, she regretted it.

Searching online in a panic, Brooke discovered Abortion Pill Reversal and learned it might still be possible to continue her pregnancy. She found a local physician who provides APR, began the reversal process right away, and was referred to Women’s Pregnancy Center for a follow-up ultrasound and support.

When Brooke arrived, she was crying. She was carrying shame, regret, and embarrassment over what had happened. Then she saw her baby’s heartbeat and watched her baby moving on the ultrasound. She was relieved.

In 2023, WPC became an Abortion Pill Reversal consulting center to educate women about APR so they know that if they take the first medication and regret their decision, they might be able to save their pregnancy. For Brooke, that information reached her exactly when she needed it.

At WPC, she found compassionate support and help. She left the abusive relationship, continued caring for her girls, and prepared for her baby’s arrival by participating in our parenting program and earning needed supplies. Her advocate continued checking on her throughout her pregnancy, offering encouragement and reminding her she wasn’t alone.

Today, Brooke, her precious baby, and her girls are doing well. Her story reminds us that even in difficult moments, there can be hope and a way forward. For 45 years, Women’s Pregnancy Center has continued to find new ways to reach women with compassionate care, truthful information, practical support, and hope.

Will you help make sure we can continue to be there for each person God sends our way? Your support allows Women’s Pregnancy Center to provide truthful information, compassionate care, practical resources, and ongoing support to women and families who need it.
