Story #33: "Looking Beyond the Moment"
Cassandra’s Story of Life
Fifteen years ago, Cassandra was preparing to graduate from nursing school and begin her career as a nurse. She was already a single mom of two when an unexpected pregnancy left her overwhelmed.
At Women’s Pregnancy Center, her advocate encouraged her with these words:
“Cassandra, I cannot tell you how God will make this work, but I do believe He will bless you for choosing the right thing.”
Cassandra chose life. Fifteen years later, she was preparing to graduate from nursing school and begin her career as a nurse. Her daughter had become a precious blessing.
More recently, 20-year-old Sabrina came to WPC afraid that an unexpected pregnancy would derail her future. But during her ultrasound, watching her baby move on the screen, her fear turned to joy. “I’m so happy,” she said.
Two women. Two different seasons of life. One shared need for hope.
For 45 years, Women’s Pregnancy Center has been here to listen, provide compassionate care, and remind women that an unexpected pregnancy doesn't mean their hopes and dreams must end.
Thank you for being part of these Stories of Life and helping ensure women and families continue to find care, support, and hope when they need it most.
