Story #31: “Freedom From Shame”

Forty-three years ago, when I was 17, I walked through the doors of a Women’s Pregnancy Center facing an unplanned pregnancy.

I was scared, overwhelmed, and trying to figure out my future. The care I received was wonderful. I was met with love, acceptance, and truth. But when I left, I thought about the silence in my life from my church and family about sexuality.
