Story #36: "Every Walk for Life Has a Story"

For more than 20 years, people from across our community have gathered to walk, raise funds, raise awareness, and stand together for life.

Maybe you’ll recognize a familiar face in these photos. Maybe you were there yourself. Maybe you were one of the people behind the scenes who helped make the Walk possible.

Our first Walk for Life took place in 2004, when walkers made their way through Downtown Ocala and the Historic District. In 2009, we moved to Tuscawilla Park and walked two miles around the lake. Since 2024, Citizens’ Circle has been our gathering place in downtown Ocala.

But while the places have changed, the reason we walk has not.

When we walk, we put feet to our convictions. We stand together for life, raise awareness, and raise funds to help Education for Life continue serving women, men, and families with compassionate, life-affirming care and practical support.

Churches, individuals, sponsors, walkers, volunteers, and donors have made the Walk for Life possible through the years, helping provide no-cost services to each person God sends our way.

And now, it’s your turn to be part of the story!
